Noticing that Tamahome is a bit troubled, Nuriko follows the younger seishi to the inn's dining area where Tamahome went to, probably to be alone. The two have a heart-to-heart talk, with Nuriko confessing his love for Miaka to Tamahome. However, Nuriko also explains that since Tamahome and Miaka are pretty much meant to be together, Tamahome has nothing to worry about; Nuriko will not get in the way of their relationship. Nuriko then continues, saying that he wants Miaka and Tamahome to be happy together, always.
