In the process of trying to get Tamahome out of Kutou's palace, Miaka gets caught and is thrown into the dungeon. In an attempt to get out of the dungeon that would have made Tamahome nosebleed, Miaka rearranges her clothing suggestively and hikes up her skirt, holding her upper thigh as if in pain and asks the guard to massage the cramp out for her. The guard is distracted and a fluffed-up Tama-Neko then pounces on him as he enters the cell; this enables Miaka to escape. However, as Miaka calls upon Tama-Neko so that he can escape with her, she sees him on the floor twitching, bewitched as well.
