In what seems to be a dream but is more of an out-of-body experience, Tamahome is about to get married to Miaka with all of the seishi present. Before the ceremony, Tamahome speaks with his father who tells him to listen to the people who are calling out for him. Tamahome hears Miaka's voice calling out for him and returns from the edge of death, entering the battle once again.
