Nuriko, Tamahome and Miaka, having been swept away from the boat, end up seeking temporary shelter in a cave. There, Nuriko starts a fire to warm the three of them and also to dry their clothes. Nuriko tells Miaka to take her clothes off so that they can dry and so she won't catch a cold, but she hesitates. Out of concern, Nuriko pins Miaka down and strips her down to her undergarments.
