	[Previous Scene] [Next Scene] [Volume # 1] Nuriko slaps Miaka and Miaka slaps Nuriko back.
	Volume: # 1 Episode: # 4 Miaka, in an attempt to befriend Nuriko, volunteers to help Nuriko find an earring that Nuriko lost near a pond. While attempting to find the non-existent earring, Miaka slips in and nearly drowns. Meanwhile, Nuriko is laughing to her attendants about the trick played on Miaka. Tamahome overhears, and tries to go off to find Miaka, but is stopped by Nuriko's freakish strength. A soaked Miaka comes in to confront Nuriko, who mocks her gullibility. Upset at Miaka's lack of anger, she slaps Miaka. Miaka returns the slap and then offers a shiny stone that she had found instead of the earring.
