Still recovering from having to part with Tamahome, Miaka tries to get on with her life. Yui and Miaka, already reconciled, both fail the Jonan exams but pass the Yotsubadai exams. The two are walking amidst cherry blossom petals and then Keisuke appears out of nowhere, commenting that there is a new student at his school who seems to remember details from a past life. Once the camera pans past Tetsuya, we see Tamahome, smiling and holding up his hand that has the "wedding ring" (from a few episodes prior to this). He is smiling and he says "Finally, I have found you" while the ring sparkles.
